In a short lived FOX television network series from 1987-1988, a young man, Eric Cord was bitten by a lycanthrope (werewolf) and is cursed to transform into a wolf during the full moon. He learns that he can break the curse by hunting the lycanthrope that sired him. However, Eric is also being hunted by a bounty hunter armed with silver bullets.

This was a great television series, it reminded me of the Marvel comic book series "Werewolf by Night". Here was a guy cursed to be a werewolf, but winds up fighting for good instead of evil.

Speaking of "Werewolf by Night", Marvel is currently producing a movie based on that comic series and has also released a trade paperback "Essential Werewolf by Night" which chronicles most of his appearances in various Marvel comic titles.
