King Kong was a giant gorilla who was worshiped by the native tribes of Skull Island where he battles other giant animals and dinosaurs.

When he is found on Skull Island by Carl Denham and his film crew, they capture Kong and transport him to New York City where they make a freak show out of him and bill him as one of the wonders of the world.

But Kong escapes and climbs the Empire State Building with Ann Darrow, who he felt he was protecting, only to to be shot by airplanes and to plummet to his death on the streets below.
